From a warranty viewpoint we are better off in Europe. Mandatory is 2 years and in the Netherlands we go even further where the product must have a acceptable life span. So I am pretty much covered.

Replacement 645 on my wrist right now! Have checked with a magnifying glass and there are no cracks on the new watch. Hopefully, this one will last longer than the last 645, which was only 3 months old when it cracked through.
Hey that’s some good news! I just got my confirmation mail that they received my watch and are ready to replace it.
I have got a replacement unit now. Took two weeks, really nicely handled by Garmin Sweden via Runner's Store Stockholm.
Looks like a brand new unit. Software version on it was 4.20 so it was probably manufactured after November 2018.
