Forerunner 645 Beta 4.02 Now Available!

[h=4]Beta Software Version 4.02 is now available. Full change log and installation instructions can be found here. This beta is for the NON-MUSIC Forerunner 645 only.

Changes made from version 4.00 to 4.02:[/h]

Fix an issue that occurred when using the music widget to control music from the phone

Installation Instructions

Connect your Forerunner 645 to your computer using the USB cable.
Download and unzip Forerunner645Beta.zip. Click on the Beta folder. Place the GUPDATE.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder of your device's internal storage drive. Place the GUP2887_FORCE.GCD in the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of your devices internal storage drive.
Disconnect your device from the computer, approve the update on the watch, and wait for the update to finish.
If you would like to revert to the last public release software, download and unzip Forerunner645Beta.zip and click on the Public folder. Place the GUPDATE.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder of your device's primary internal storage drive. Place the GUP2887_FORCE.GCD in the \GARMIN\REMOTESW folder of your devices internal storage drive. Disconnect the device. NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.

I am only seeing one file GUPDATE.GCD in the beta folder of the zip and a GUPDATE.GCD in the public folder

Garmin, please can you fix the barometric altimeter. I would have thought this would be a priority update over music control. Many 645 customers have reported that the elevation is being smoothed out and is leading to false elevation gain. There are several threads on there discussing this fault.

i have the same problem like @dominicshields, i only see the file GUPDATE.GCD, GUP2887_FORCE.GCD is missing. Please give additional information to update the software!ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1421483.png

Thanks, music widget is now working. And instalation is possible without second file.

we are still in 3.8 :'(
