Everyday battery drain

This has started recently, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the case before - though I can't put my finger on when it exactly started.
The battery now drains pretty fast when I'm not doing any activities.

Yesterday I charged the unit to 100% and disconnected it at 14pm The time is now 7am and the battery gauge shows 86%.
14% in 17 hours means 121 hours of battery life with no activities - 5 days.

I have 24hr HR turned on and tracking steps/floors climbed.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

That honestly seems about normal to me. My own device will last about 5 to 6 days if I don’t charge it and use it only in watch mode. I use it pretty frequently though, so it tends to get charged pretty frequently during the week. If it seems like the battery was lasting a bit longer previously, have you added any new apps for watchfaces to your device recently? Watchfaces are notorious for causing increased battery drain... especially some of the more “noisy” watchfaces that have lots of dynamic data on them that get updated regularly.
  • I have noticed a slight increase in the past few days from around 15% to 18%, which is hardly significant. Also it's difficult to be sure as I exercise several times a day and recharge each day. I put it down to a different watch-face but I can't be certain that was the reason.
  • I haven't changed anything in the configuration, including watch faces - I use the default Garmin one (albeit customised).
I believe the watch didn't drain close to 1% an hour before...
  • I use a battery widget that keeps track of average battery usage per hour for each recharge cycle and it's usually in the 0.7%-0.9% depending on how much I've used GPS.
  • Did you try a complete power off? Hold light button until it shuts down, about 10 seconds. Wait some seconds then press light button to turn on again.
BTW... well coded watchfaces don't use much more battery. ;)

What do you mean by "depending on how much I've used GPS"?
The way I see it, we can either talk about battery drain outside activities or battery drain during (GPS enabled) activities, I don't see how the two can be mixed.

I did, I also thought perhaps something went wrong and there was a process draining the battery. After a power off, it's drained 6% in exactly 6 hours, meaning average life of 4 days without any activities, just activity tracking and HR.

I'm relatively sure this wasn't the case a few weeks ago, I remember charging to 100% seeing even 98% after hours. Be glad if anyone else has a look at how much drain their watch has in 6 or 10 or 12 hours with no activities.
  • Charged mine up last night 100% switched it off, switched it on this morning, 94% , had it since 20 March

So you turned the device off at 100%, and turned it on after a night's sleep to find it at 94%? As in, it lost 6% in 6-8 hours while turned off?

Yes exactly, not good at all.
