Okay so went for my long run this morning, everything working as normal. 10miles. Finished the activity no problem, selected save. Did my cool down and stretches etc, thought I'd check the detail on the watch, the activity summary is there, tried to go into the activity and the watch goes straight back to the watch face.. Strange I thought.
Got back to the car, tried to sync with garmin connect, no joy. Heart rate data for the entire workout is missing. Also activity did not appear. Steps counted ok though. Drove back home thought I'd connect to desktop with USB and try a sync that way. Seems the watch has corrupted the activity (screenshot attached), it also then decided to update the firmware to 3.7.
Not sure if the error was due to the watch running old firmware, but disappointing as I've had the watch for like a week and already having issues.. Wonder why the firmware wasn't updated via the mobile app already..
Anyone else had issues like this?
EDIT1 : Actually the watch has'nt updated to 3.7 it gave me a notification on the watch that it's ready and asked If i want to install tonight or now. Selecting now I just get an error and then it asks to try again via Garmin connect.. Awesome.
EDIT2 : Rebooted watch, have now installed 3.7 firmware ok, if anyone knows of anyone that can repair a corrupted .FIT file i'd be very grateful i've now attached the corrupted file to this post. I have tried the online repair tool at garmin.kiesewetter.nl and also the application at http://fitfilerepairtool.info/ both of which don't seem to work. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1391122.png
