Podcast and music management

Hello, for those who own the 645 Music version and likes listening to Podcast and music on their watch.

- What’s the best way to upload and manage podcasts on the watch?
- Is there any specific podcast apps you use on your computer to download and sync your podcasts to the device?
- Does iheartradio podcasts sync to watch?
- Can you delete a podcast directly from the watch after it’s played?
Thanks.
  • Hi,
    - What’s the best way to upload and manage podcasts on the watch?
I use garmin express and itunes

    - Can you delete a podcast directly from the watch after it’s played?
No, I haven't found a way at least.
This could have been a useful feature, or automatically after it is played.
  • It would be much nicer if you could configure the Podcasts you want to track on Garmin Connect Web, and then have the 645 fetch new episodes (and delete old ones) over WiFi with no PC/Mac connection...
  • Any other option in addition to iTunes (I don't use it) to upload podcasts to the 645M?
  • I think a dedicated CIQ app would be the best for automatic download of podcasts over wifi.

That said, would a music CIQ app play in the background while we use a default Run mode to track an activity ?

I use a program called Clementine, since I don't like iTunes. It'll do the normal podcast stuff - fetch new episodes and so on - and then you can use Express to move them from your PC to the 645 while it's plugged in.

I use Podkicker on my phone, and really wish they had phone-to-watch options, but that seems like something we'll have to wait for.
  • Thanks for the tip Caleddin, I'll check it out.
  • on a related note, I've recently struggled with the podcast order. I save my favourite podcast for running and it's the only one I listen to. The podcasts are labelled with the number first e.g. "323 <title>". When I bought the watch, I uploaded a whole load of episodes of this podcast using Express and without doing anything it played them in chronological order from oldest to newest.

Having listened to them all, I deleted and uploaded the latest and for the life of me I couldn't get them to play in order.

Has anyone else had that problem and figured it out?

The only nugget of an idea I have is that it seems to be recognising the Artist as three different artists (no idea why) and playing them in artist sequence
