Garmin Pay - Halifax UK

I got onto Halifax to see if they were introducing Garmin Pay. Interestingly they advised they had no plans to introduce it.

While we do have the starling workaround I would like my own bank to introduce it.

I would urge anyone here that banks with Halifax to send them a quick message on messenger to ask the question. If they k own there is a user base for it they would be more likely to introduce it.

I'm sure they will change there tune when more banks go live. Until then make some small ripples so they know we are out here. Or don't it's up to you :)

I tweeted Lloyds Bank who said no plans.

I just set up an account with Starling. It’s easy to set up a transfer between two banks via an app to top up your Garmin Pay Account.

I set up starlingl and it does work well. The app is especially good.

It must be an effort Vs reward thing at present with Halifax but I'm sure as more wearables get payment functions they will introduce it.

Cheers for the heads up. Have just set one up as well. Don’t care where the money comes from but handy to be able to use the watch when on a run and need water with no money on me.

On the back of this thread, I set up a sterling account, looking forward to see how it goes. Might even fully switch. Thanks guys ????
