software version 3.30 feedback

My 645 (non-music) froze on the first run after the update to 3.30. See attached error-log.
I was using the back to starting point function (straight line) while this happened. The watch never froze before,
  • "Added support for REM sleep phase detection and improved the accuracy of the existing sleep algorithm."

    Rem sleep deleted again?
  • Sleep detection was working flawless in ver 3.1.
Ver 3.3 tells me i slept for 3½ hours last night. That is very wrong. From 2.45AM it says I didn't sleep at all.

Not what I wanted to hear as I've my target race coming up next Sunday! Definitely won't be installing that update until later as my non-music version is behaving reasonably ok apart from needing the odd soft-reset to get the OHR back into line.
  • Don't even have one yet, but
    - what level of reboot/reset did you do after installing the update?
    - try deleting the pairing with your headphones and re-pairing?
  • I am gradually giving up hope on this device reading these new comments on the latest firmware. :-(. But instead of putting all effort on making the watch stable, Garmin are adding beta features to an official non-beta firmware? Make sure you fix the issues first and maybe add features that quite a few people here would like to have, such as manual callibration of the altitude sensor.

  • Why was rem sleep removed @ Garmin-Joey?

That note in the change log was added in error.

Well i guess i'm going to find out if this is a "bad" update or not, as syncing via the computer (because i needed to charge the watch) forced me to update. The only options were "now" or "tonight". I didn't really appreciate that to be honest.
  • Only at the gym today but treadmill run with music had no issues. Strength training which usually has multiple reboots in a short space of term performed without any issue either. Just one button press the watch didn't seem to react to but then it did. Will test it outdoors over the weekend.
  • Thumbs up from me. Tiny bit of a faff as it seemed to want to reinstall my headphones which seemed to clash with existing installed instance. Deleted both switched off and on, reinstalled headphones and all fine. Garmin Express seemed determined to switch me back to GMT, but locking on to GPS soon cured that. Connected to headphones perfectly this morning for outside run. Even dared to change tracks - no problem at all. Looking positive :-)

Forgot to add both heart rate and mile notifications both on and working
