Music doesnt work

Hi all,

I just wanted to test the music feature on my FR 645 music (3.10).
I have added .mp3 files via garmin express to my FR and connected my PowerbeatsWireless 2 via bluetooth.
When I start the music I can see in the display that the device plays the music but I can not hear it on the headphones.
Bluetooth connection seems to be ok because the FR responds to the buttons of the headphones play/pause volume up/down.

Any ideas whats wrong?

Thanks in advance.
  • There is a thread at the top of the forum. There appears to be issues with what wrist it is worn on and whether indoors or out. You could try changing the wrist the watch is worn and trying indoors and outdoors.

Do the headphones work with your phone or another bt device to make sure they work?

    Really?
Can not believe that things like wrist side and indoor outdoor affect this But I will check this out later and report later in the thread you have mentioned.

Headphones work fine with all other devices.
I have also the same problem with my BT speaker.

Yes, I have tried several restarts and also tried to unpair and pair the headphones again without success...

I had the same problem when I first got my watch. Like the commenter above mentioned, I also ended up having to reboot, unpair, and then pair my headphones back to the watch to get audio to actually play again. Since I did that I havent had any additinal pairing or audio issues. The 3.10 firmware also greatly improved my audio and bluetooth experience.

It looks like Garmin just released an additional new firmware today (3.30), and the release notes for it mention that it fixes some bluetooth pairing issues. If the restart doesnt resolve your issue, maybe the updated firmware will. Just make sure you reboot your watch if you install it!
