wifi connect causes restart

I am having trouble getting my watch to connect to a second wifi network. I've tried setting up wifi on the watch, and through the connect app. My watch sees the network, I add the password, and when it tries a test connect the watch restarts (blue/green triangle). What can do to troubleshoot this? I am loathe to re-initialize the watch, but will do so if necessary. OS 3.10, Forerunner 645 (no M) . Bluetooth works fine. All other functions seem fine. I've had the watch for just a few days.

Thanks for any help.

I had the same trouble and found a simple "solution". I added the second network through the app (never tried directly on the watch actually) but did not do the test at the end. Turned down the bluetooth connection (and maybe restarted the watch, can't remember). It worked. I guessed there was an issue when both wifi and bluetooth were on.

Also I had to switch to an unhidden SSID.

    FR 645 non-music on 3.10 OS.

    Perfect, Thanks!
  • I have been in contact (over the last 2+ months) with Garmin about he wifi bug(s) which result in the watch not being able to connect.

Garmin has stated they know there are problems but are not going to fix.

If Wifi is required, this is not the watch for you as good chance it just won't work and Garmin certainly won't care.
