Missing Running Dynamic pages when using RD Pod

Sorry if this might be a repeat issue. Tried a number of different searches but could find nothing on this topic.

For the past 3 runs using the RD Pod with the FR 645 I've noticed both of the default running dynamics pages are missing. Before starting my run I get a message the pod is connected with the watch, yet shortly after beginning the run I'll scroll through the pages and both running dynamic pages are not showing up. During one run, after completing about 3 miles, the pages magically reappeared and were displaying data. Reviewing my runs on Garmin Connect afterwards shows no apparent interruption in the running dynamics data throughout the runs which might've explained why the RD pages weren't showing up. Anyone know why this is happening? If so are there any solutions?

The watch has the current software version (3.10). I've tried unpairing the RD Pod, turning the watch off, then repairing the Pod with the watch to no avail.

Update: Just finished up a chat with tech support. They had me verify both running dynamics pages were listed under the run tab, and that they were still showing up once the watch synced with the RD Pod (they were). The person I talked too seems to think perhaps the watch and Pod may not be syncing up completely for some reason. They want me to verify these screens are displaying once the Pod and watch are connected but before I start the run. Will have to contact them again if the problem persists. FYI for anyone having a similar issue.
  • You are not alone.

Most people in that thread were using the chest strap, but pretty sure there are some w/ the pod as well. Do you keep your phone connected during your runs? I was able to isolate the issue as only occurring when my phone was connected via bluetooth, and then only intermittently. Never could get it fixed and because of that, and a couple of other reasons, decided to get the 935 instead. Good luck.

Thanks for the link. I noticed the same problem with this morning's run. The Pod was showing connected to my watch, yet the running dynamics pages on the watch face would still not display. No interruption in data when I reviewed the run on Garmin Connect so the Pod remained connected the whole time. I do keep my phone connected during the run. Think I'll try disconnecting the phone and see what that does. I own the HRM-Run chest strap as well and have not noticed a similar issue. Will chat with Garmin Support on Monday and see if they can figure this out.
  • No interruption in data when I reviewed the run on Garmin Connect ...

Are you sure about that? Sometimes my charts looked like they kept recording, but the time scale was way off. For me, if the running dynamics screens wouldn't show, the data was not recording, or at least not delivered to garmin connect. I could toggle bluetooth on and off on my phone during a run and watch the running dynamics screens (and garmin power number) come and go.

I had this issue today. New RD pod. Watch paired, all looked good. After a run, could not find the data. Garmin customer service suggested taking the battery out of the pod for at least 15 minutes, and re-pairing. All good now. ;)
  • I have the same problem, I have just tried TomZot's fix and it didnt work.  RD pod still showing connected but no data and no screens.  It now says battery is low though (which is very irritating as the pod is only 2 days old) put will try changing battery and see if that fixes it.

  • I should have said my problem is with a Fenix 6 watch.
