Countdown timer during activities

Hi all,

I am new to Garmin watches, so I'm still learning my Forerunner 645M.

One thing that I haven't been able to figure out is how to use the countdown timer during certain activities.

For example, during yoga, I'd like to use the timer to make sure I hold a certain pose for specified amount of time. Basically, I'd like to launch the countdown timer during my yoga activity, be alerted when the countdown is over, and after switching to a different pose launch the countdown again. Is there an easy way to do this on 645?

I did find a way to launch the countdown during my activity, but each time I use it, the screen goes back to my current activity and I have to navigate back to the timer each time. It's distracting and wastes time. Setting the timer on auto-restart won't be usable, because I need time to switch poses before starting another countdown.

What I'm looking for is to streamline the following process:

- launch yoga activity
- when needed, navigate to the countdown timer
- have the watch remain on the timer screen until I am done using it as many times as I need
- navigate back to yoga activity screen

Any tips on how to accomplish this would be appreciated!
