Choosing wirst

Good afternoon

I just aquired a new Forerunner 645 and I'm struggling to find the option where I say which wrist I'm wearing it on.

This is my 3rd garmin and I never struggled to find that option, most likely its right in front of my nose but spent the whole morning searching so now I give up!! :D

sorry in advance if this was already asked before, I did a search on the forum but searching for wrist comes up with tons of results and found nothing!

I had great trouble as well. The only place where I could select the wrist was when activating the gesture for switching on the backlight for the first time. Once chosen, I was unable to change it. All this seems to be a bit buggy. First, the backlight wouldn't switch on even with the corresponding setting active. It the end, somehow, it started to work, but I have no clue as to how to change wrist side, unless by resetting the watch (a lot of work to enter all the selected settings again).

I suppose that for other options than backlight, this selection might be unnecessary (but I'm not sure either).

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer me :)
I didnt even use any settings related to the backlight so thats why I didnt come across that option but will try to look for it! thats for the tip!

Because in previous models ( as well as with fitbit and polar watches) we were able to tell if it was worn in the dominant arm, I got the idea it would be more accurate that way..
More likely you're right and its completely unnecessary! thank you :)
  • I can select the wrist on my 645M in the User Profile section of the Settings menu.

Long Up Button (middle left side button) Press -> Settings -> User Profile -> Wrist
