Hi,
I just need to find new headphones for the 645.
Any experiences with the Garmin list or any other models?
Thanks, Jol

Since upgrading to firmware 2.5, my Plantronics Backbeat Fits are no longer having drop outs. (Left wrist). Haven’t tested the Jaybirds yet.

That's very exciting to hear. Will update my 645M tonight and try with Jaybird x2 tomorrow (left wrist). Let us know what happens when you test your Jaybirds!

Anyone have headphones that don’t drop/stutter at all when the watch is worn on the left wrist for outdoor running? Seems like most of them work better with the watch on the right wrist, unfortunately.

The Bose Soundsport Wireless have worked perfectly with watch on the left wrist for me.

After upgrading to 2.5, the Jaybird X2s stutter considerably less with the watch worn on the left wrist. It wasn't completely eliminated, but I can definitely live with it now. What's funny is that when I first started my run, the stuttering was pretty bad, and I thought the upgrade hadn't helped, but it got significantly better pretty quickly and never came back to any significant degree. I'm definitely pleased with the improvement.
  • I thought my Plantronics Backbeat had improved after the 2.5 update, but I experienced a lot of drop outs today. I switched to my Jaybird X3s, and they worked flawlessly, (left wrist) but I can’t get a good fit. Switching to the Air Shokz, will report back tomorrow.
  • i have had very good experience with Plantronics Backbeat Fit. Comfortable, sweatproof, allows some ambient noise (so i don't get run over by cars blowing through stop signs) and good Bluetooth connection. Just ran for the first time with 645 listening to music and they worked great.

I'll echo this. Plantronics Backbeat Fit works well for me too.
  • I tried the After Shokz (on Garmin's recommend list) today and they worked perfectly. I was skeptical they would sound good because it's a bone-conduction headphone, but I'm impressed. They have a similar sound and weight to the Backbeat Fits, but do not go in or around your ears, allowing you to maintain awareness when running on the roads.

Unfortunately, the watch didn't work perfectly, and rebooted itself during the run, which is typical for this firmware I think. I hope Garmin can get this addressed soon.
  • I've run 4-5 times now with Powerbeats 2 headphones ...no dropouts with the 645M on my left wrist except when I put my hand behind my back. Walking & running no problems at all.
