How long after I stop running should my FR45 take to autopause recording?

I have my FR45 set to autopause when stopped.  When I stop running (for example waiting for a stoplight to change), how long should it take for it to go into pause?  It seems it is taking up to 35 seconds before pausing, so my data shows my pace incrementally slowing (from my running pace of around 8:00/mile to over 20:00/mile).  So I have 30 seconds of data showing I am running slowly, which throws off my average pace calculation.

Is there a way to get the watch to more quickly go into pause mode when I stop?  Or is 30+ seconds of me not moving a reasonable timeframe?  Or would I be better off just manually hitting the pause button and resuming when I start running again?
