I have a Garmin 230. Running on a track indoors is fairly accurate, as has been much discussed in this forum. However, when I run one of my programmed Workouts that I have previously run successfully and accurately on an outdoor track, the interval (step) distances are way off. For example, if the first step is 800 meters (4 laps around an indoor 200 meter track), I have to run 850-900 meters before the watch considers that 800-meter step completed. Those offsets for each step ripple throughout the whole workout, which inflates all paces because for example the watch applies the time I took to run 900 meters to the programmed 800 meter distance. I could of course run the workout manually and not use the downloaded workout that was accurate on the outdoor track, but I’m open to other suggestions. Thanks in advance!
