Battery Life for Garmin 45

My Garmin 45 suddenly is only keeping a two day charge, at best. I've tried cleaning the charging bases on the watch and on the charger and quit getting notifications on my watch but nothing helps. I tried calling a couple of jewelry stores to see if they carried the battery for my watch but it seems Garmin has created their watches where you can't replace the battery, at least for the 45.

Guess I will have to invest in a new watch but I don't think I will be buying another Garmin.

A year and a half. I've also turned off all notifications also but it didn't help.

Yup, had my 45 for just under two years. To be perfectly honest, even from day 1 it needed charging every 4-5 days after only 4 hours of GPS work, which is nowhere near the 13 hours advertised! Just bought a 55 this weekend and you will be pleased to hear that after a full charge yesterday evening and an 80 min GPS session this morning, the charge remains at 87%. I wear the watch all day and do use the backlight wrist gesture a lot because I run before sunrise. I do wonder where Garmin got the 20hrs GPS figure from for the 55, but it’s an improvement.
