Forerunner 45 not connecting too app (ios14.4)

So it’s been months now, several Garmin app updates and still unable to connect to my Forerunner 45 from my iPhone 12 mini. Tried deleting the app 3 times, turning off Bluetooth both on phone and watch, turning off phone, turning off watch, make sure it’s not in my Bluetooth connections...the only step I couldn’t do from what I’ve read out there, is remove it from the devices linked to my account in the Garmin app...but, there’s no such button to remove an existing device nor it’s automatically deleted when logging off and deleting the app.

What does it take to simply have my watch connected to my phone? This is THE feature to buy a smart watch for and quite frankly it makes me reconsider buying this brand for my next watch. It’s a shame because I think it’s a good product otherwise.
