Forerunner 45s innacurately measuring battery

Hello, everyone! I am new to the Garming community. I purchased a Forerunner 45S and so far the experience has been excellent.

But something odd has been happening with the battery. From 100% down to 20% there was no problem. Once the battery reached 20% I wanted to keep it going to see how long it could approximately last. The next day, the battery percentage started switching back and forth from 20% to 1% every few minutes. I thought maybe the watchface I had installed on it was the problem so I switched to one of the default ones but the same thing happened.

Is this normal? What worries me is that I won't have an exact idea of when a charge will be needed urgently and when it will still last for a few more hours.

Yeah, I see this issue quite often, usually from 40% to 20% back and forth. I already reported this to Garmin, but if you want to add another voice, send them an email: [email protected]

Thanks for your reply! It was just concerning and thought something might be wrong. I will go ahead and email them.
