Steps not recording after battery died

I went for a long walk today. I put my watch on just before I started. Unfortunately I forgot to charge it fully and my watch battery died just before I got home. After charging it I was able to sync my activity up to the point it died, including pace, calories etc and it appeared at the top of my app as usual. But in the general section steps, calories etc are still at zero. Any ideas? Steps are also at zero still on my watch

    • Hey, I have the exact same issue. Did you find a resolution?
  • I see you haven't received a reply on your issue.  I have a very similar issue where during a long walk today I get all the stats but no steps.  I don't know if the same issue but it would stand to reason if I covered 10K I'd get a few steps!

Hi, I’ve had the same issue today. I went for a run and my watch recorded the run (the battery died just before I got home so once it started charging I saved the activity). The activity shows in my app along with all the stats but my step count hasn’t changed on my watch . I’ve powered the watch down a couple of times and nothing has changed.

I've had the same issue and have contacted Garmin support and they were able to go in and manually fixed my data but didn't give any solution for in the future...
