My forerunner 45s wont track my heart rate. Any suggestions?

My forerunner wont track my heart rate continously. It will show a number sporadically in the app, but never on the watch, and the light wont light up.

If you connected an external HR monitor, and its status is ON, then the internal HR sensor will be switched OFF. You should disable external HR monitor to have OHR again.
