Why is my forerunner 45 taking so much longer to locate gps sats?

My forerunner 45 now takes minutes to locate satellites. It used to take seconds. I didn’t change anything.

I had the same experience recently. I was told by the tech support that I should start a new activity, wait for the GPS to be ready and then wait for 2 minutes until it updates all the information (AFAIK, nothing will appear on the screen saying that it was updated). That's the screen you should be seeing for 2 minutes:

It's recommended to do that once every month. Boring, I know, especially because there's no feedback whatsoever.
