open water swim with forerunner 45 or 245

did somebody has ever try to do open water swim with forerunner 45 or forerunner 245?

as I have read on the manual that it can only be wear for an indoor swim not for open water?

I know it may be a stupid question, but thanks for your time answering my question..

Neither of these watches have open water swim mode. You could try wearing the watch under the swimming cap, so it remains above water all the time, and record the activity using "Other" mode.

lol.. thx for the answer, but I will not risk my watch drowning by seawater, doing pool swimming is enough though

Just seen this yes open water sea swimming has knackered mine
