My 45S won't connect to Connect Mobile on Googke Pixel 4

My 45s won't connect to mobile Connect app via bluetooth. Was previously connected on my Samsung Galaxy S7 running Android 8. Now have Google Pixel 4 running Android 10 - watch says "waiting for phone", phone bluetooth recognizes watch, but Garmin connect says it can't connect. Tried connecting to husbands Galaxy S9 running Android 10, his phone bluetooth can't see the watch. Ideas???

    I solved the problem by doing a Reset on the watch.  Of course, I lost my local watch settings, but have now re-entered those.  I post this here in case anyone else has problems connecting even after following all the troubleshooting steps in the app.
