treadmill activity export problem

Former Member

hello,

when running on a treadmill, the distance registered by the watch is different than the actual distance, so in the end i calibrate the distance and it's corrected.

but the problem is that the export file (for example to sync with strava) shows the uncalibrated/wrong distance.

what can i do?

thanks

  • Nothing you can do. Calibration affects the current activity summary only, and leaves the full pace data unchanged. This is why you see a different distance in strava. However after the first calibration, subsequent activities should show correct and coherent distance (unless you do another calibration).

I understand, but the information of the workout in the Garmin connect is correct with the calibration, but when I export (manually for example) I get the uncalibrated information

  • That's probably because Garmin Connect uses the recalibrated summary data, whereas strava uses the original data (because it is not aware of the recalibration).

    that's really disappointing..
