Forerunner 45 pace view miles instead of Km

This has been an issue for the Foreruuner 30 for over 2 years and Garmin refuses to fix it. Or they don't care, I'm not sure which. I've corresponded with them on many occasions and the feedback is always the same - "we are investigating". I hope for the sake of the Foreunner 45 owners they sort this out.

@4607979: Have you tried saving the wrong settings and then go back to the right settings and safe them again? Choose "statute" in settings and safe the settings, then go back to settings again, choose "metric"  and safe again.   That worked for me... but each case seams to be different...

Yay - this worked for me after everything else didn't. Problem started about a week ago after updating to 3.40 software.

Finally! This seems to have worked. I tried everything I could think of to no avail. I eventually called Garmin who allowed me to replace it with a new one today. Got home and had the same problem. Not only did it fix the ml/km problem, it changed my weight and height to metric. Great.

• A further wrinkle as the unit reset didn’t work, yet when the data is synced with the app it converts the mi to k. Garmin support says they are aware but no fix as of yet. 

I had this problem after upgrading to software version 3.4. Laps were 0.62 miles and distance was in miles even though units were metric. I changed units to Statute, switched off the watch, switched it on, changed units back to Metric, switched off and on and it was cured. Thanks Tim. 

THANKS TIM! One more time (as 8 months ago) it's been solved!  (Just need to chane the units within the device itself. It will not work when change is made thorogu CONNECT on cell or desktop.
