I think it's waiting for GPS rather than heart rate. This is why you get inaccurate distance.

How do I check if it's GPS issue?

The tower like structure takes forever to complete and the heartbeat icon denotes heart rate monitoring.

The service center in India is limited to only 2 cities...so cannot reach out to them...

Any suggestions, I have reset it and reinstalled the app in the phone too

Your second sentence clearly indicates it's a GPS issue.

There could be several reasons for not getting a GPS fix. Try the following.

1. Go outside, under clear unobstructed sky.

2. An initial GPS fix might take several minutes, perhaps even longer in unfavourable conditions (like tall buildings nearby), so you have to be patient. Do not start moving until you get a GPS fix. After getting the fix - even if it took a long time - subsequent GPS fixes should be much faster, especially if you sync your watch with your phone regularly.

There may be other reasons for GPS problems:

- Something in your vicinity is jamming the signal, either unintentionally (e.g. high-power lines) or intentionally (military installations?).

- The watch is broken.

There is a cover on the watch which has a crack. Watch is fine
