Music on iPhone for Forerunner 35

Hi there,

Is there any way to connect Amazon Music or Spotify to your forerunner 35 watch? There doesn’t seem to be any setting in the Garmin Connect app that has to do with music.

The FR35 does not provide any built-in music capability, nor music control for your phone's music player.

Well it does show an function in the quick start manual that says to hold a button to bring up music controls for your smartphone. When I do, it says that an app connection is required. I probably should have mentioned that in the question...

Oh yeah! Indeed, there seems to be music control. Sorry for the confusion.

But since I don't use this particular feature, I cannot guide you directly. As I understand, once you have your watch connected to the mobile app, and start a music player on your phone, you will be able to control the player with your watch. I don't think there is a particular setting in the mobile app for it. Anybody correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks! It seems what I had to do was re-sync my phone and watch, but it’s only working fully on Apple Music. On Amazon Music and Spotify, it will pause the music, but but it won’t play again or go to the next or previous songs.
