Forerunner 35 battery meter problem

Hi!

Ive just bought Forerunner 35 for my girlfriend as a gift from Germany. However, we setup the device and charge it for couple hours but after pulling the plug out. The Screen shows battery has only one bar. So we countined charging longer but the battery bar will not increase at all. However, while charing the device the battery showed full with many bars showing in the battery meter. I have reset it once but that doesn't help at all. I have been searching online but no one has the same problem as me. What should I do now? This is our first Gramin product.

This is clearly not a normal behavior and i guess you have a faulty device. You should try to exchange it.
Another thought: MAYBE it's only a "visual" problem so the battery is actually full but just doesn't show that properly. Then you could think about living with it
