Bose soundsport wireless headphones pairing

Is it possible to pair the 35 direct to headphones or must you have a phone. I like the verbal feedback when running but do not want to carry a phone

No Garmin Forerunner models support direct pairing and connection to wireless headphones, and no Garmin Forerunner models provide spoken feedback directly from the watch (with or without connecting to headphones), as far as I'm aware.
