Before I buy a Forerunner 35 : GPS accuracy and pace tracking

I am looking to move from my TomTom Runner to the Forerunner 35 primarilly cause the GPS accuracy on the TomTom is terrible in any sort of wooded areas. I recently double-logged using my phone and my watch and the difference was ridiculous.

Can anyone tell me if they have experienced any similar problems with the 35?

Also one thing I really valued the TomTom for was the pace zones where you could set a speed bracket you wanted to keep to and it would alert you of you dropped over or below your selected zone. Does the 35 have anything like that?

A quick browse inside the ">‑35 Owner's Manual">Forerunner‑35 Owner's Manual suggests to me that range alerts for pace (or speed) are not supported. You may have to go for a FR230/235 to get those.

Some of my tracks are in woods but I don't have GPS problems. GPS fix doesn't take long time and I have no losts. Well, each round can be seen on the map as if I ran on different sides of the path but the distance isn't way off.

So definitely some innacuracy or would you say it is close enough...if you look at my screen-grabs i am WAY off, in the middle of some houses in some cases.

I miss whole Strava segments because of it
