Forerunner 235 - GPS signal not loading

During long period (maybe 1 month or more) device was unused. So no power at the end. When charged, I saw that date was wrong but I expected that once getting GPS signal then it will be fixed, but nothing is happening. GPS signal is not recognized and so no way to update date.

GPS version is 3.30. Firmware the latest (8.20) and nothing works for getting it back (soft, hard reset, sync with all tools, removing the GCD file, changing the EPO.BIN file).

Any idea ? (I would like to try a downgrade of firmware, but no way to get a GCD file for 7.90 or older files, and I´m neither sure that it will work)

Press the activity button once and leave it on a table, can be inside.

It may take some time, or may need to do twice.

I have same problem with my Forerunner 230. It works on 31 July 2023 but no more after.

GPS signal has no more detected. I already did the reset settings and synchronization with Garmin Express and Garmin Connect

Well, you didn't mention how long you let it try to get the signal stationarily - did you wait until it went back to the main screen itself? Sometimes it needs a second try. It's long, so do it on a table.

Yes I try during several minutes multiple times.

It looks like a hardware issue with the GPS chip

In my case, I left the device outside on a table for hours, more than once, and it did not work at all. As Jean mentions below, it seems that it could be a hardware problem.

Ye, then it was long enough.

Didn't test those, so duno, but if a watch is unusable anyway then you may check.
