Stopped recording elevation

Forerunner 235 stopped recording route and elevation after mile 3 of 7.5 mile run. Total miles and time were correct. Any ideas why?

Probably lost GPS signal. It may happen rarely.

Remaining distance was recorded using accelerometer, and time obviously just by clock.
