My 235 will not take a charge. First weird thing here is I sync'd it and when completed, it wiped out the data (steps, run data, etc) and reset itself back to 'zero'. Few days later put it on the Garmin charger at night, and it did not charge. Figured maybe I didn't have the pins aligned or something I re-tried it. Still no charge. Now unfortunately it is totally dead. Having read some of the forums, it appears that my battery may have reached its end of life.
- When the max number of cycles are reached, does it just die, with no type of warning?
- Will the Garmin support folks replace the battery and at what cost?
- Can a 3rd party watch battery place change the battery? I know the literature says not user replaceable, but I have found that is not aways the case.
- FWIW, I do have a second charger cable (knock off brand) that I can try, the kick on the pants however is I am on a long three week vacation and was hoping to log some miles on the watch since I have some extra free time.
So, what do you guys think? Is it bricked, salvageable or what?
