My Forerunner 235 updated it's software today to 8.2 and my watch face went to digital and I can't select the watch faces I have in the watch/app.

Thank you for asking this. Curious if others report same. Holding off on update... Well I'm already updated, and am happy to say, not having any problems.

PS. I'm not using any watch faces.

The language of my settings have been changed to English. And when I go to the settings there is no other option available then English.

Not that it is that big of a deal but still a strange behaviour..

Update- doing a factory reset on the watch fixed the problem for me. Hold down the power button until the watch turns off. Then press the power button for one second to turn it back on.
