I am training for a half marathon in October, roughly 16 weeks out. I have a goal, but it isn't much of a stretch. Mostly I just want to start and finish with confidence. I've done several HMs, but it's been 18 months since my last one so I wanted to follow a plan and recently got a Garmin 235 so I thought I'd try Amy's intermediate plan on Gramin Connect. I am in week 4, I am running about 20 to 25 miles a week. The plan already has me up to 10 miles for my long run this coming weekend (I did 8 this past weekend) and increased my short runs by 1 mile on 2 different days. So that's up 4 miles in a week or about 20%. That seems like a big jump from week to week, I've read before that a 10% increase week on week is a good goal, and I'm still 3 months from race day. I'm a little concerned about doing too many miles for too long before my scheduled race.
My question: Is there a way to ask specific questions about training plans to the coaches or someone knowledgeable?
