Garmin Connect Training Plans

I am curious how to go about requesting a new Garmin Connect Training Plan or if there is a way to write one myself and upload it?

I have a book (Running Room's Book on Running by John Stanton) that has a variety of Training Plans based on desired end time goal ( for instance... finish Half Marathon in 1:45 ). I would love to use one of those instead of the plans currently offered.

Thanks for any help offered!

I think the standard Garmin Connect training plans are quite old and not sure if they are likely to be updated or added to. What you could do is pick a plan from your book and create various Garmin Workouts which you could then schedule on your calendar and download to your watch.

    Thank you for reply!

Yes, I was thinking that was probably the case... Hoping there was an easier way. But, I suppose if it's created on a day to day basis it won't be too painful.

    Cheers!

  • I have been using the schedule for the marathon for 2 years. Works very well for me. But now they were so clever at Garmin to not to include the send to device option in garmin connect... so the whole training schedule is useless to me... Why do they do this?

Hi, I think the schedule is now supposed to sync each time a change is made to it. Trying making a change to see if that's triggers a sync. Cheers.
