I have two pairs of shoes under my gear on my Garmin, I went to add another and it shows up in my gear but I can't add to my activities. Any thoughts why?

  • I don’t think this is the appropriate forum for your question. What device are you using to record your activities?

    Garmin 235

  • A pair of shoes cannot be added to activities that predate the shoes' date of first use.

What about the same day? Do you think it's the same?

  • Same day should be ok.

I too have added a third pair of shoes to my gear. How do I select each different pair of shoes to add the appropriate activity to the proper pair of shoes. Background I have a pair labelled "training shoes" and a pair labelled "marathon shoes". I just purchased some trail shoes and that is what I have labelled them.

Before I save my trail run activity from yesterday on my 235 watch and sync it to my phone how do I select the trail shoes on the app so it doesn't default to my "marathon shoes". Is there a simple way to change between shoes like there is to change between bike mode, run mode etc. Thanks.

Edit I think I worked it out.

Now my issue is can I move and activity from one pair of shoes to another pair of shoes. The new shoes were added before the activity was saved.
