Relay running forerunner 645

Hi I am running in a 24 hour relay at the weekend - how can I record this without without recording several activities as I go in to each leg.  I will be running every 2-3hours so would be good to know if there’s a way of recording my legs as one whole activity

thanks in advance

  • I am also doing a relay this weekend (not a 24hr..!) but I plan on recording the 3x segments as separate activities.  Make more sense for me personally.  Interesting to see avg pace for each of the legs etc.  If at a later time I wanted to combine, I could export the Garmin files (.FIT files) and import them into the website FitFileTools - have many different activity editors to cleanup/edit files.

As far as your plan, no worries, just Pause it when you are done with your leg (maybe hit the lap button (bottom right) to mark it as an end spot) and then your watch will timeout after ~2minutes and go back to the watch.  Then restart an activity when its your turn, and it will go right to your activity.  I do this often when I go on bike rides that involve stops that last more than a few minutes.  Works great! :-)

A little scary at first... but works! :-)

    Have a great race!!!
