Recovery time / Calories stopped working correctly

I'm getting really low values for calories burned and recovery time of 0 after all my runs with a HR monitor on. I recently switched to a scosche rhythm24 and am wondering if something isn't working with it properly. Love the sosche rhythm24 because of the accuracy and not having to wear the chest strap.

Did I mess something up with the watch? I reset the watch to factory recently to see if that would fix it and entered new height, weight and max/min hr values but still getting the same problems.
  • I think those metrics (and VO2max) only work when using a HRM that supports HR variability. I mostly use a Myzone HRM these days and have the same problem; I only see those metrics working properly if I switch to my Garmin HRM
  • I sincerely doubt that you messed something up with your watch, although it is very possible that HR data coming in from your scosche band isn't being fed into the analytics engine that provides in-activity calorie counts, Training Effect and Recovery Time feedback. It is possible that the data isn't fully compatible.

Maybe someone with a similar pairing has succeeded? I'm not sure.
  • ah ok, that's unfortunate but I like the rhythm24 too much to go back to the chest strap or my wrist optical.
  • Ok, so I fixed the problem. Ended up updating the firmware on the rhythm24. Then entered and made sure all my profile and stats were updated in the scosche app. After that it's now reporting properly.
