Synchronization issues

I am using the Forerunner 235 with the Android app. The watch is connected via bluetooth with the phone. I can tap "sync" in the app or on the watch, but the process finishes very quickly. In the app it still says "Last Sync 6/16/17" (today is 6/17), and the most recent data I see are from yesterday, 7:12pm. I tried power cycling the watch, but that had no effect. I did an activity for a few hours today, and I don't see that either.

I checked "Device Sync Audit" in the Settings, and it shows "Upload Status=SUCCESSFUL (No items to process)". That's obviously not true.

First, I would check to ensure you have the latest firmware update (Being out of date can lead to sync issues). My next advice would to restart both the phone app as well as the watch. This always fixes my issue. Give it a few minutes to sync. The longer it's been since your last sync, the longer it should take of course. Sometimes I have to repeart this 2 or 3 times. Eventually, it will sync up.

I have a Forerunner 235. My daily steps goal are not being sync. In my watch I have a number and in my app I have another ( on the 2nd screen). I have contacted Garmin and they tried to troubleshooting w/o success. They opened a ticket and I am waiting. What is sad is this is my 2nd watch in 4 months. I have returned the 1st one. Any idea in how to fix it?

As long as bluetooth is connected, it is automatically synced. That is just an erroneous message.
