HR difference coming from Mio Alpha 2

Hi, I've been using a Mio Alpha 2 for the past couple of years when running outdoor. Now upon switching to the forerunner 235 I notice a big difference in my heartrates, as shown in the attached images.

When using the mio for a 5k run my HR usually goes up to the 170 bpm range.
The Garmin says my avg HR is 150 bpm.

Both workouts were the same.

I'm a 34 year old male.

Now I'm kind of confused about wich one is closer to the truth. Any tips? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1369211.png ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1369212.png

    Hi

Heart rate in left side image looks familiar. I have noticed that when updating software without rebooting fr235 then it can make that kind of heart rate.
Reboot it and after reboot it should work ok.

  • Use a chest monitior, LED monitors are WORTHLESS for any real activity, all they do is guess at your heart rate. BTW, due to Mitral Valve problems I am currently under the care of a cardiologist and he has a VERY LOW opinion of LED HR monitors.
