A new Beta software for the Forerunner 235 has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found here.

Changes made from version 7.60 to 7.61:
• Fixed Bluetooth connectivity issues with Huawei phones.

Installation Instructions
• Connect your Forerunner 235 to your computer using the USB cable.
• Download and unzip Forerunner235Beta.zip. Place the GUPDATE.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder of your device's internal storage drive.
• Disconnect your device from the computer, approve the update on the watch, and wait for the update to finish.
• If you would like to revert to the last public release software, follow the above steps but place the GUPDATE-760.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder. Rename the file to GUPDATE.GCD before disconnecting your device. NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.
Please feel free to discuss this beta version in this thread, but be sure to also submit any feedback to [email protected].
• So: nothing has been done for the problem with other phones?
• Still not able to pair my Samsung S8. Any hope, or is it time for me to move to a fitbit?

I can't buy me right now another watch, but for sure i'm discouraging my friends to buy a Garmin and in the future i won't buy one anymore.
• have you phoned support? they should be able to fix the issue. For me, when I have pairing issues I go back to the start. I delete the watch from GE, GC and GCM and from the phones Bluetooth settings and start over. I've never had an issue that couldn't be fixed this way. Garmin support will be able to walk you through the procedure.
• Several times, to no avail. I've tried those same steps on my own, doesn't work. Tried them via Garmin support, doesn't work. Said it would be fixed with the next software update. They emailed me about the latest GCM update, and nothing changed. I've been following here for the next firmware update, and still no joy. Probably overly frustrated, but no other BT device I own requires that level of removing and restoring to reconnect on a regular basis.
• There is one common factor here - Androids (and especially Nougat) has a very flaky BT stack. I had to return a Gear Fit 2 as it would not connect with a Sony Z5. One plan of attack is to clear cache, and reconnect BT
• Thanks, tried that, too. Still nothing. Neither phone nor watch see each other. Phone is fine. No issues pairing with Jaybird X2 & X3 earbuds, multiple car audio units, etc.
• The download link from the original post (http://www8.garmin.com/support/downl...s.jsp?id=10450) gives a page saying "We were unable to locate any downloads for the product you requested.". When I try to access it from Chrome (although it works in a different browser) - is this a client side or cookie issue?
• what about issue with issue with high hr during interwal? example below

Dear Jan502, see my workout in https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/2499405088
it worked quite good (I didn't push up to my max hr), I just stay in rest before starting the activity, see my HR (about 55). I suggest you make a try.

I have done the steps many times. Sometimes I can connect the watch to my phone, but after some time, I end up with the same problem.

the only solution for me is to go back to version 3.20 of Garmin connect app
