I'm having the same issues. I have the Forerunner 235 on my wrist, but when I sync there isn't any data. I've not idea if something has to be activated to begin the sleep tracker like I do to record an exercise session, or if it activates the sleep tracker automatically. The manual on this subject is as clear as mud and doesn't provide instructions on how it works and how it is activated.
I am having a similar issue on my 235. The watch is on my hand at night but it fails to detect/record auto-sleep data. I did reset my watch and it worked for a week but the problem has now returned. If I go to GC on the web it says that I have to enter the sleep time manually. What is odd is that when I do that and sync on the GC app on the phone it gives a breakdown of deep/light/awake time for that sleep period. Is n't that odd as it would suggest that movement and hence sleep is being recorded somewhere. Also, the other night I woke up very early and checked the app and it had recorded sleep after going back to bed and waking up several hours later the sleep data was gone and never returned - had to again enter it manually. Garmin's sleep detection has never been great but this is pretty poor right now.
I am experiencing the same problems since the app update yesterday... unfortunately i could not change the times manually, it always goes back to the times it recognized, just no sleep stages are shown or total time is calculated.
I'm having the same issues. I did reset my watch and did not work. miscalculates calories With activated HR, now does not quantify the dream .... Every day Garmin works worse. I'm seriously thinking about changing brands
Having the same issue here. I discussed this on another thread. Seems to be no answer. The sleep in GC also does not let me edit to fix the correct sleep times. The Sleep tracking on Garmin is a hot mess!
My Garmin usually gets the sleep start / end time wrong, which I understand as it depends on how long I'm lying awake in bed not moving. I always correct the times the next day. However, since the 7.70 update during sync Garmin overwrites my changes back to the values measured by the watch. It does so for the past few days but not more - sleep duration for let's say a week ago is safe (haven't figured out an exact pattern yet). Can't rely on sleep data anymore, so yeah, hot mess indeed.
This seems to be a pattern with Garmin developers - with every bug they successfully fix they generate two new ones, which probably broke something that already worked perfectly since forever. Unit tests people.
