Factory Reset, what am I doing wrong.

Holding down the bottom right button and then holding the Power button per instructions. After a bit the screen shows the Yes/No fields with NO highlighted. Problem is the up/down buttons on the left do not seem to do anything so I cannot select YES.

BTW, am attempting to solve an issue with a very slow response to pushing the Activity button, sometimes it takes 5 seconds or more for the screen to change over. Talked to Garmin CS about this and they suggested the Memory may be too full and a Hard Reset would clear the memory and should restore the responsiveness of the 235 when it was new.
  • A hard reset is pressing and holding the power button until the screen fades. A master reset is hold *both* right hand keys then power on, whilst keeping hold of the buttons. Release the top one after the first bleep and the second after the second bleep.
  • Thank You! That got the watch reset.

Now another issue. That is the Activity Bike Indoor is gone and I would really like to get it back because it's a Utility application that I use for recording something like Weight Training so I have a record of the workout, average HR, Time, and Calories. Yeah I could turn off the GPS for the bike function but dollars to donuts I would go for a ride when the weather improves and forget that hte GPS is turned off. Would appreciate some guidance on how to get Bike Indoor back on my 235.

Give me a few minutes and I'll send you the bike indoor app and instructions on how to put it back on your 235 in a private message.
  • You can get activity types back via GCM.
