Error with calories?

It's a long time that I use myfitnesspal with garmin connect (more than one year) and I see that I have an error every day about calculate of calories around 360-390 calories more then real. It's simply to see it, because is simply to calculate on long time difference between theoretical difference of my weight and true difference of it. It's not medium calculate, but a constant data every month. I know that more other athlete see this big problem but I think to know why: there is an error on calculate calories during relax time (like night) and not when I do sport where I see that calculate become more true. My weight is 61Kg for 176cm; max beat is 196, min in the night usually 35-38. It's not possible that Garmin calculate 600 calories for 8h during sleep, because mean 75 calories for hour: in my situation I have less 60 calories for hour, like when I'm in relax situation. How Garmin calculate calories?

I also am having an issue with how Garmin connects to Myfitnesspal and calculates the activity for calories. It adds a very high number of calories to my day. If I followed it, I would gain weight. I came from a Fitbit Blaze and it calculated the calories at a great deal less and seemed very much more accurate. Any thoughts on how to make this better would be appreciated! Thank you. Elly

Hello guys! I just joined the FR235 club :)
I think i've the same issue with calculated calories.. it seams that FR235 counts calories almost twice: activity estimated calories + steps estimated calories.. is this the same issue?
Never had this issue with vivosmart or vivosport

I've found Garmin to be pretty bad at estimating calories outside of recorded activities.

A way to fix things with MFP is to go there and turn step tracking to none. This way MPF ignores the calorie correction Garmin is telling it to make. It may take a day for things to update though. Recorded activity calories will still appear.
