Significant Battery Drain after 7.50 Update

Anyone notice significant battery drain after upgrading to 7.50? I went from charging the 235 every 5-7 days to every 2-3. I find the watch loses about 30-35% per 24 hour period now. I've tried restarting the watch and now I am going to try turning bluetooth off.

After a full charge on Fri night the watch was down to 25% this morning (Sun).

I've noticed the same problem since upgrading early last week. Watch was static last night and drained from 19% to 0%. On the watch home screen only bluetooth is on (never a problem before) and GPS was off. Heart monitor was not green so not the drain issue.

Got a little charge in it before leaving but has already dropped from 26% to 18% in2 hours.

I'd be interested if this is common or known issue.
  • I don't see any changes in battery life after the upgrade. But the watch is fairly new still (about half a year), not sure if that has any impact.
  • I performed a factory reset last night. It seems to have done the trick. Something must have gotten mixed up during the upgrade to 7.50.

I too have the same issue. Went from getting a week or so per charge (a few 30min runs, steps and HR always on) to my watch dying in about 4-6 hours even turning everything off and not using the GPS. Did every re-set in the book, re-installed thr software on my computer, and even dumped the settings and activity folders. It feels like a software/firmware update problem because it was so sudden. Anyone figure out any work-around?
  • Are the HR monitor LEDs on permanently?
If so your watch is broken. Its been discussed on here before.
Its not a bug, but something in the upgrade process that breaks them.
    Needs to be replaced.

    Hi there,
Mine 230 doesnt have HR but still draining. What do you mean by replacement? The software, the battery or the whole watch?
  • Try a hard reset or if that doesn’t work then a factory reset

A full factory reset worked for me as well!
