ConnectIQ issues after 7.4 update?

Already posted in the GE forum, but thought I'd try my luck here too....

Sadly my first post in the forums is to report an issue and seek help. After updating to 7.4 on my Garmin and auto-rebooting the watch, I noticed that:

1. My ConnectIQ watch face was no longer active (though in the menu it's listed as the active clock face!)
2. My custom data fields for running (downloaded through ConnectIQ) are no where to be found
3. Garmin Express sees my F235 when I plug it in, it will sync, but when I click the button to manage my ConnectIQ apps, the next screen loads for 1 second and goes blank. Nothing, not even the pre-loaded apps that normally show up.

I've tried updating to GE 5.6, uninstalling and reinstalling GE, to no avail. My only theory is the new update royally screwed something up.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this?
  • WATCH FACE: Yeah, happened to me too. I eventually un-installed the watch face and re-installed it!

    Hm. Odd. I finally got access to my Connect apps through my android device. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Connect-IQ stuff seemed to do the trick.

    However, Garmin Express still does nothing when I hit that 'Manage Apps' button....
  • Yeah my GE seems really buggy ... always has. It always tell me in a big red bar along the top that I might not have an internet connection (I most certainly do), and the sync sometimes gets stuck and never finishes. When I click on Manage Apps, it takes forever to finally load that page, if it ever does. Now, I avoid opening GE and do most of what I need from the app ... when I simply plug my watch into my PC to charge, eventually a small pop-up indicates the GE has synced (behind the scenes).
