Downloading Maps?

Hi I have had my forerunner 230 for a while now and mostly use it to track cycling activities which seems to work very well even when I do not have cell reception. I am wondering if there is an app or something out there that I can use to view downloaded trails as well as see my location on the trails. I have the dwmaps app on my watch and it is what I'm looking for just wondering if there is another app thst does the same thing except I can view it on my phone not my watch screen... Hope this makes sense and any help is appreciated
  • In the Garmin Connect app, there is no funcionality included that you describe, so your phone will not be of any help with your pre-programmed trails on the Forerunner 230.
On the other hand, the Garmin Edge bike computers do exactly what you describe. I recommend looking up the reviews of the Edge 520 and 820. And if you're not in a hurry, rumor has it that there will be new iterations of these devices very soon, so a drop in price for the current models can be expected rather sooner than later.
