Change date (not time) manually?

Can anyone tell me how to change the date manually on my Forerunner 235? I figured out how to change the time, just not the date. I prefer not to use GPS. Please don't turn this into a "why you should use GPS" debate. Thanks!

OK, there will be no debate.

You can't change the date manually, full stop.

Your preference "not to use GPS" is ... going to result with a perpetually wrong date ... until you change your preference. IT'S A GPS WATCH!

GPS no longer works on my watch . I set the time manually but the date remains wrong

Maybe check thread with some possible fixes for GPS: GPS Issue - Forerunner 235. One suggested opening a watch. If GPS is turned on and after trying software things first, like full reset, and still doesn't work, then worth trying.
