Changing distance of face from lap to total

I am trying to make a change on my 3 field data face - presently it shows distance, time, and pace. That is what I want. However, at the end of each mile, the screen goes back to 0. I want it so the distance shows the total distance I have run. How? TIA.

Oh,a reference to the page in the manual would be helpful too.
  • Sounds like you have the field defined as 'lap distance' rather than difference. You want to edit the data field and change it. You can do this by pressing start which the run activity is selected then press and holding the middle left button until 'edit data fields' is shown. Then scroll to the field showing 'lap distnace' select it and then go to distance fields and select distance

If memory serves, Screen‑1 and Screen‑2 in the Run activity profile both default to three data fields:

[th]Screen 1[/th]
    [th]Screen 2[/th]

_ Distance _
    Lap Distance

Timer
    Lap Time

Pace
    Lap Pace

However, at the end of each mile, the screen goes back to 0.

    • Auto-lap is enabled (by default in the factory presets, or possibly by yourself manually) in your Run activity profile. You should consider whether you actually want that.
    • Are you sure you're looking at Screen‑1 and not Screen‑2, when you see the values reset to zeroes? You can move from one data screen to the other by pressing the and buttons.

Use the Distance data field. You can customise how many and which data fields are displayed on Screen‑1 and Screen‑2; but, as I've already mentioned, the Distance data field is there by default.
